This is why my husband and I are fostering to adopt the teenagers in our state who are about to age out of the system. I think it to be cruel and inhumane the treatment we give our children whose parents were ill-equipped to care for them! Please feel free to e-mail me

I am not surprised at all – as a former, I can tell you that missing was pretty common. A lot of my friends went “missing”.

Happy Child Abuse Propaganda Month!
“Missing” is also a statistical term referencing actual missing data, or what is called “99″ coding. Once again, the child abuse propaganda machines have mislead the public.
You rock!

I stumbled upon your blog while doing a Google search on another topic. I had no idea that the statistics for foster children were so grim. Society needs to do much better by its children. I hope you continue your writing and that things get better for you.

It does happen in every state in America! In every area. Even in your city its probably happened to at least ONE foster care kid. I was one of them. I was 14 years old, I had never had a boyfriend, I never wrote a “do you love me.. check yes or no.”, I never felt the akwardness of sitting next to the boy you thought “thought at that time” you loved, never went to a school dance. After getting in that car Prom was not an opition for.. I was robbed that day he tricked me into his car. Something was stolen from me that has affected my whole life. My Innocence! I was already at a disadvantage being a full ward of the state and after I felt I had ANY CHANCE at all. I found later he targeted foster kids because NO ONE looks for us when we go missing. More times then not they and I were listed as runaways.. Or missing. That wasnt the only place. Girls from drug addict parents who haven’t lost them yet sold her own daughter without a thought I I’m I’m sure in exchange for drugs or drug money. In my case he had a girl who was aged out of the system an been in my foster home. She got a finders fee. I sure hope it was enough for her as it cost of what they took from me was IMMEARURABLE! I’m now 28 years old and just speaking out via the world wide web. And looking for anyway to speak out, help and make everyone aware that its real, it happens, it hurts and sometimes kills. I was sure their was NO ONE else speaking out, NO ONE standing up and NO ONE making people aware of what is happening to “Michigan’s Unwanted” or “Your States Unwanted”. I am so thankful and happy that I was WRONG!! This Ilee

I was foster child and I was molested in the child sex trade too. From age 10 me and my brother 8 yo Jacob were sold, rented and loaned out for child porn and to be raped. They made us have sex with men, other little boys and each other while men watched us and took pictures while we were raped.

Your blog is an awesome eye-opening for the rest of America that has no idea of what really goes on with helpless, innocent children that are the real victims of their bio-parents senseless mistakes. I stumbled upon your blog after watching 20/20 with Dianne Sawyer last Friday about the Foster System drugging children. This is no surprise as we recently adopted our daughter that had been in the system for the past 5 years. She too was age 7 and her brother was age 6 when taken. Her brother is still in the system and we struggle with knowing what is the right thing to do to help him. As you can imagine, he has severe mental and behavioral problems but reality is that we are the only chance he has at ever having a family to call his own at this point. He is extremely behind academically and emotionally and i dont See this getting any better in the Psychiatric fcility placements he keeps on bing put in. Having been in a similar situation, do you have any suggestions what you think would be best or any words of caution?
